Wickham Centre’s Aims
Wickham Community Association aims to enrich the community by being a welcoming, listening, hub. We will enable local people of all age groups and backgrounds to participate in recreation, support and learning, and pay attention to the changing and diverse nature of our locality.
We plan to be economically sustainable by attracting profitable business that helps subsidise our community activities, and by working in partnership with individuals and groups who are willing to invest their skills or knowledge for the benefit of the community.
This means;
Making our building and surroundings attractive to businesses, local people and groups as a venue for events, meetings and activities;
Making the Centre the natural hub and meeting place for our partners and all Wickham organisations;
Being a centre of excellence and role model for Hampshire Community Associations;
Being seen as a leader in bringing together and involving local partners;
Reaching out to the local community, offering local people a real opportunity to be involved with Wickham Centre.
